Art does have a serious side often disregarded by society in general. That is the side that seeks to impart on the public visions of worlds unseen or to be. Possibilities not readily apparent in our box like parameter existence. Peeping outside the box through imagination and by those imaginations gain possible solutions to global problems or just delight in the vistas exposed there.
This is fine art. As it seeks to open new vistas unseen, experimental worlds, it often clashes with status quo visual conforms. Always it relates to the heart of the artist, the artist's essence as history shows the greatest artists are the ones which more fully show the journey of the human being. What it is like to be human.
The human condition is biological, emotional, mental and spiritual. It is centred, not divided like in the square world we have created for convenience and easier analysis.
Real artists are artists who relate to their innate centre. Artists who relate to square ideals are not real artists. The square which does not have a strong centre and celebrates artists that bend to superficial, boundary decoration. With AI advancing inexorably through our square based human society, fine art is one of the few avenues open for us to hang to our humanity.
